It has been a long time since I last cycled. Brought my own camera along this time… Managed to snap some beautiful photos… with the help of a mini tripod which I bought from Daiso and some post processing using Adobe Photoshop… haha… ^_^

F1 Redbull @ Singapore Orchard

Went to Orchard to see F1 Redbull car in action~!

Alright~! Clear photo without any motion blur… while the car is not moving… lol This is perhaps one of the few clear photos of the F1 car. The rest are relatively blurred.

This bottle of 100 Plus cost me SGD$2.70. That is so expensive loh~! bloody hell… if only i wasn’t that thirsty~!

Haha~! Managed to take this shot of one of the tower of Ngee Ann City. Edited a bit to make the sky looks dramatically bluish ^_^

Oh look~! Got chiobu~! I think she is some artist or host of some TV channel… can see TV crew following her wherever she goes… going around interviewing people… heng never tio me… i got camera shy lol ^_^

Alright… she is kind of busy there on her phone… lol ^_^

So while waiting for the F1 car to come out to speed a few rounds, we spent plenty of time idling and beo-ing… lol. Look what I’ve found~! Sunshine kind of smile… brighten up my day… makes all the waiting worthwhile… lol ^_^
The photo looks grainy… think is probably because I lowered down the number of pixels when taking this photo to compensate for higher zoom range up to around 7x zoom. And the full photo is cropped to keep only the subject in the photo.

Who is that girl~?! This photo looks as if the girl is a superstar like that. All attentions on her… The guy on the extreme right taking a real close-up photo of her, the guy beside her machiam asking for her phone number, the little boy on the bottom left staring at her… lol ^_^

This is the only F1 car I caught in my camera while the car is moving in low speed when it just started up to the road. The car is simply too fast when on the road to be captured by the noobish me. haha…

My IPPT 2nd Attempt 2011

Alright… once again, I failed my IPPT fitness test… lol ^_^
With slight improvement and deterioration in performance here and there…

According to my previous attempt, the number of sit-ups i do drop by 2 (from 37 to 35). The number if chin-ups increase by 1 (from 8 to 9). The time taken to complete my 2.4Km run improves slightly by 5 seconds… lol but overall I still failed because i ran way too slow… sigh… =(

Prawning @ Marina Country Club

According to my previous experience, “prawning” is quite boring, but can be quite interesting when the prawns got addicted to your hook. But this time… it is kind of disappointed… For 3 hours, a group of us with 4 prawning rod, only managed to hook on to 4 prawns.

Last time in Hai Bin, we all caught a lot more than 4 prawns in just 1 hour loh… It seems like the prawn population in their pool is relatively sparse as compare to the one which i previously went.

Each rod cost us SGD$30 for 3 hours. So we paid a total of SGD$120 for 4 pathetic prawns~!!! OMG~!!!

After that, we went to Serangoon Gardens Hawker Center to have our some seriously sinfully good food~! yummy yummy lol ^_^

Lastly we went for a drink and chill at the nearby Liquid Kitchen. Very cosy there… relaxing there, chit chat talk cock… lol and photo photo photos…

Haha… the 1st photo is not the "ber-la-jan" chili you will see in hawker centre... lol these are baits meant for prawns... ^_^

My Trip to Night Safari

This is my first time in Night Safari~! ^_^ Brought my camera along… hoping to get some interesting photos… But taking moving objects in low light situation is so so soooooo challenging… lol I can’t find a single photo off my camera without any blurriness in it… haha ^_^

But there are still some (after resizing to smaller photos) … haha… which I find it still ok… lol

My Adidas Running Shoe - Response Cushion 19

I have been wearing the New Balance 380 running shoes (SAF New Balance running shoes) for quite some time already. After my last run at MacRitchie Reservoir Park, the shoe sole starts loosen off due to wear and tear over time…

That is why I bought myself a pair of running shoes~! I actually did some research on what running shoes to buy. I came across this website which I think is pretty useful and would like to share it here with you guys and gals reading this… lol

The website talks about underpronation and overpronation. From my understanding, it is about how our feet land on the ground when we run. This can be observed by looking at the wear and tear conditions of the soles of our old pair of running shoes.

From my old pair of running shoes, it seems like I am an underpronator, which is common for high-arch foot type people. Therefore I conclude that my foot type is classified under high-arch. It says that underpronators need more impact protections, so shoes with cushioning are the best for them.

Haha… maybe is because of the lack of cushioning in my previous running shoes, that's why I feel pain on my knee when I run? hmm…

When i reached the Adidas shop at VivoCity, I realised that they actually classified foot types into 5 categories… high-arch, neutral, mild flat and flat. The foot prints picture are shown for each of the foot type. Somehow, the pictures tells me that my foot type is classified as mild flat. haha… so those high arch shoes that I have shortlisted in my mind suddenly become a bit useless… lol but I still decided to stick to the cushioning category because I want my knee to take in less impact when I jog.

The sales person actually recommended me their newer product, Supernova Glide series which is also under the cushioning category. It costs SGD$175 if I didn't remember wrong. But it has limited colours for my size… sigh… In the end, I decided to stick to my plan and bought this Adidas Response Cushion 19. It costs SGD$155. This is my first shoes that cost hundred over dollars, and also my first transaction using my credit card… hehe ^_^

Supermoon 2011

It is said that the Moon is the nearest to Earth on the 19th of March 2011 due to its elliptical orbit around the Earth, and therefore it appears the biggest on that day. This phenomena is called “Super Moon” which occurs every 18 years. But I didn't managed to take the photos of the Moon on that day… sigh… have to wait till year 2029 to see it again…

The following is my attempt one day after, it still looks quite round like a full Moon using my “not-so-pro” camera… lol ^_^

Unboxing CISCO Linksys WAG160N

The following will show what are the things included in the CISCO Linksys WAG160N Modem Router which i have bought during IT Show 2011 March.

Items as shown in the above photo are:

Installation CD (packaged in the blue envelop)

3-pin connector
2-pin connector
Power adapter

Users are given to options to choose whether they want to use the 3-pin connector or the 2-pin connector for your power adapter. For me i chose to use the 3-pin connector. Just slot the connector into the power adapter as shown in the above photo. Once its done correctly, it should look something like the one in the photo below.

It comes with 1 DSL line-in for internet source and 4 Ethernet slots.

This is the installation CD. Just run it and follow the steps and everything will be setup nicely… ^_^

IT Show 2011 March

Wahaha~! IT show… time to get some gadgets~! Let’s take a look at this new mouse that I have bought from there…

I bought this PowerLogic GMX-5 Laser Mouse at S$28.00. I have been using the IBM mouse that comes with my IBM T60 Laptop for around 3+ years… and its clicks starts to get less responsive… so bought this new one… lol ^_^

This GMX-5 has got these 2 buttons on its left side. The 2 buttons serve as a forward and backward button when surfing net on browsers. But i seldom use the 2 buttons… maybe just not use to it… lol ^_^

It has another circle button behind the scrolling wheel. That button is toggle button to change the mouse’s sensitivity. It has 3 modes of sensitivity, low, moderate and high.

Next, is this modem router that i have bought there one day after i bought that mouse…

I bought this CISCO Linksys Wireless-N ADSL2+ WAG160N Modem Router at S$149.00. I have been using the 2WIRE 2701HGV-E Modem Router that comes with SingTel MIO Home package… Seriously, I have bad experiences using that 2WIRE Modem Router… I have like 2-3 of that as I have been using SingNet Broadband for quite a couple of years. That modem router disconnect me from the internet quite often after like 1 year of usage… so its like its life span is only 1 year… thereafter, it will give you headache…

That's why I bought this CISCO Linksys Modem Router, hoping that it will perform better than that given by SingTel. ^_^

Went to Marina Barrage with friends to see see look look… At there we saw many people flying kites… kites with LEDs blinking… Woah cool~! Saw some of the kites crash landed hard on the ground, some entangled in mid-air but still flying, some safely landed on a pond at the area and some nearly landed on someone’s head… Headshot… missed… heng ah… haha ^_^

My friend brought his DSLR camera and tripod there to try out some night shots. Wah I learned something about the purpose of shutter speed and ISO settings… interesting interesting…

Me who didn't bring my Panasonic DMC-LZ10 camera, also try out some night shots using my LG Optimus One P500 phone camera… lol ^_^ The photos appear dark… under-exposed… noisy… grainy… … i guess is due to the lack of surrounding light… even though the phone camera has this option that allows me to set to Night Scene, but i think its not much better… lol ^_^

Thohirah Restaurant at Jalan Kayu - Pattaya

Went to Thohirah Restaurant located at Jalan Kayu with friends to have our dinner.

S$5.50 for the Pattaya.
S$1.00 for the Teh-Tarik (the drink in the photo).

The Pattaya is fried rice wrapped in plain omelette. On top of the egg skin is those chilli sauce that taste a little bit sweet. Similar to those chilli sauce that you get in McDonald. Just by looking at the appearance is already enough to make one drool… lol ^_^

Inside is the fried rice. And what is with the fried rice? I saw prawns, carrot cubes, peas, … … and some dried chilli skin cut into small tiny pieces which i think it spiced up the dish quite a bit. So this dish is slightly spicy with some sweetness due to the sauce. If you don't mind the spicy, this is definitely not a bad choice. ^_^

Changing Blog Header Image

This is a reply to Jiamin’s question regarding changing blog header image.

hehehe really ah? thank you. i wanted to change my header but i don't know why i cannot upload any photo. those photos i posted on my blog are all through photobucket. that's why sometimes the loading speed is slow. :\”

Just happened that recently i was also trying to change my blog header image too. Then when i clicked on the edit header link at Blogger –> Design tab –> Page Elements there, I don't see any options for me to upload image that i want to put for header.

Later then I realised that i actually have to click on the “Remove Image” link 1st before i get to see the upload image options. Initially i was also quite reluctant to click on the “Remove Image” link because i worried that i cannot revert back the changes. (I didn't backup my images, that's why i worried… ^_^)

There are 2 choices for the source of the image used for blog header. You can choose to upload an image file from your computer, which will be uploaded to your corresponding Picasa web account. (not sure if there is settings to change to other image hosting server, but at least for my case, its uploaded to my Picasa web account.)

Or you can set to use an image from web. All you need us just the direct URL to the image. Let’s say for example if you have uploaded your blog header image to Photobucket, then this option is for you~ ^_^

But there is actually no need to worry that i cant revert back, because after clicking on the “Remove Image” link, there is still a “Cancel” button at the bottom to discard all changes to the header. I must have worried too much then… lol ^_^

My IPPT 1st Attempt 2011

This is my first time taking IPPT (Individual Physical Proficiency Test) as an NSmen… lol ^_^ Life too good recently, cant run fast already… As expected, I failed my IPPT test haha…

But its nevertheless an experience. I still remember a few years ago, the IPPT test were all done manually with lots of PTIs (Physical Training Instructor) around making sure everything were done law by law… lol

Now, there is this eIPPT (electronic Individual Physical Proficiency Test) system which is implemented quite some time already. Just that it has been a long time since i last took IPPT test. So this system is relatively new to me. Many things are done with the help of electronics system. As a result, increasing the efficiency and accuracy of the test. Having such system implemented, PTIs no longer need to hold a stop watch, keep track of timing, keep track of counts and write down each participant’s result. Because all the results are recorded electronically in the chip embedded in each participant's number tag.

Hmm… seems like tasks of PTIs are simpler nowadays. haha… will future technologies further make PTI this vocation useless? I personally doubt so. Because it is inevitable that electronics systems might malfunction, and that is where PTIs come into the picture.

During this IPPT test, the electronic apparatus used for 2.4km run test had some problem. The score board was not working. But the test still proceeded on with the PTIs keeping track of each participant’s laps and timing (they claimed that that is for “just in case” purpose), backed to the old style of conducting 2.4km running test. The PTIs are still needed to be there to ensure test still went on even when the electronic system fails.

Other than the chip that store the results, there are also RFID tag and antenna (i guess so… ^_^) inside the number tag. So there is a gantry setup on the running track which everytime the number tag passes through it, there will be a “beep” sound. This reminds me of the ERP system for cars in highways… lol ^_^ So us having the number tag pin on our shirt, running pass the gantry looks just like a “Human ERP System”. Haha… -__-"

Kway Chap or Bo Chap?

Try this kway chap store at your own risk. From personal experience, we customers don’t get to choose what we want. I was queuing at the store when my brother who is before me asked the store person if he can choose the items that he wants. The store person turned down his request and says that the items left are limited… So what he gets for his kwap chap are… … beancurd, beancurds and BEANCURDS~!

I personally find that this is a bit unfair. Beancurds at the price of S$3.50++ (if i didnt remember wrong), what a good business deal… If there are not much items left, why cant she sells it at a cheaper price instead?

Chinese New Year 2011 Day 3 – Visit to Sentosa Flowers Festival 2011

Haha… its the third day of Chinese New Year~! I went to Sentosa Flowers Festival 2011 with family. But half way through the trip, the sky turn dark and rain… and then it stop raining for a while… and then it rain again… sigh… =(

Luckily I still managed to capture some photos of the flowers which I personally find it slightly better than those photos I took in the past… lol ^o^ Photography skill improved a little bit with the tips I learned from brother and colleagues… hehe… ^_^ On a second thought, perhaps is because the flowers are nice which gives me the illusion that my photography skill improved… haha

Chinese New Year 2011 Day 1 - Dinner at RamenPlay (NEX)

Chinese New Year, as usual, most shops and eatery stalls are closed… And what my family usually did was, go to KFC for our lunch… lol ^_^

But there are some changes this year as we have our lunch at home 1st before set off to relatives house to bai nian. At the end of the day, we settle our dinner at RamenPlay 拉面玩家 at NEX.

Pork Katsu Tori Set
Somehow, i find this dish a bit filling (maybe because ate too many CNY titbits before dinner ^_^)… so its definitely worth the money in tems of $ spent over food amount. Onion-haters will not like this dish because the pork katsu is covered with eggs, onions and ONIONS~!

Wafu Shoyu Ramen

Yaki Gyoza
The Gyoza are nice~! Crispy dumpling skin at one side with juicy meat inside it… wow~!
One thing I am quite puzzle over is that, why is it that only one side of the dumpling skin is crispy? Went to Wiki for it and found the following:

“The most popular preparation method is the pan-fried style called Yaki-gyōza (焼き餃子), in which the dumpling is first fried on one flat side, creating a crispy skin. Then, water is added and the pan sealed with a lid, until the upper part of the gyōza is steamed.” ~ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jiaozi

So its meant to be like this, one side crispy only.

When billing, we got 3 time chances to play the lucky DIP.

Mellben Seafood Pte Ltd (AMK)

I went to Mellben Seafood Pte Ltd for good food~! hehehe… ^_^
It is located at: Block 232 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3, #01-1222, Singapore 560232.

Some friends reached there early at 7pm to queue up first. Then I and a few friends reached there at around 8pm. Around 8:10pm, we made our order.

We was told that our waiting time for the food to be served to us is 1.5 hour (8:10pm to 9:40pm)~!

The first dish is 风流鸡.

The buns to eat with the chilli crab sauce.

Then this is the … … i forgot what is this dish, i think is 黄金虾? lol

The 辣椒螃蟹 (chilli crab)~! ^_^

There is another dish, 奶油虾. We all didnt managed to take photo of it because our hands were oily after eating the chilli crab… haha~!

But the wait was worth it, because the foods there are really nice~! In fact, the foods were served to us before the estimated time, 9:40pm was our finished eating time… lol ^_^

The total price for all the food that we have order was around S$200. We split the bill, 5 of us, so S$40 per person. ^_^

I got my 1st cheque from adBrite~!

Ever since after i was banned from using Google AdSense in year 2008, I have switch over to use adBrite. And today, I have received my 1st cheque from them~!

I login my adBrite and realised that September 2008 was my 1st month of earning (S$0.04 only). And it took me around 2.5 years to accumulate to S$5.02 … ^_^

I guess the amount would be more if I was not banned by Google AdSense :(
For an inactive blogger (one who rarely blog, only 4 blog posts in the year 2010… lol), I personally feels that its really better than nothing… lol ^_^

This S$5.02 has given me the motivation to maybe write more blog posts. Something interesting about what keeps this blog having a constant rate of pageviews everyday, are those blog posts about windows live messenger error, corn and wart.

AVG9 File Scanner for MSN

In msn, under the File Transfer Options, we have to set the file scanner for handling the files our friends share with us.

If you are an AVG user, you might probably be asking, which one is the file scanner? Because there are so many executable files in the AVG folder, so this is a problem i faced when trying to setup file scanner for MSN File Transfer Options.

I am currently using the AVG9. So, the AVG file scanner is the avgscanx.exe (might varies for different versions). But we don't just point to this executable file in MSN for the file scanner. In fact, the avgscanx.exe is a command which requires us to input in parameter(s). The following is the list of parameters options for this command.

So we have to create a batch file with the following content:

"C:\Program Files\AVG\AVG9\avgscanx.exe" /SCAN=%1 /HEUR /ARC /PUP /CLEAN

And then save it at any place as any name you like as long as it is a batch file (eg. E:\ScanAVG9.bat). Go to the MSN File Transfer Options to browse to the folder you just saved your batch file.

When you reached there you will notice that the batch file is not shown up. Type in “*.*” in the FIle name text field and press enter, this will show all files in the folder and therefore also show up your batch file. Select it, click open and there you go.

Now when ever after your friends sent you files, a command prompt will popup and do the scanning and show you the results of the scan that looks similar to the following screenshot.

Father’s Day Celebration 2010

Went to “三盅两件”, a Chinese restaurant in Vivo City for lunch to celebrate Father’s day on the 20th June 2010. If i am not wrong, the English name for that restaurant is called “Soup Restaurant”.

We ordered the Father’s day special set A which consist of 7 dishes. But we only managed to snap photo of one of the dishes because we are too eating… lol. The photo on the left is a bowl of Ginseng Chicken soup. It tastes really good. A must try dish for anyone going there.

It has been quite some time that i have leave this blog inactive… haha… I was thinking maybe I should just continue to write something here ~~just for fun…~~ to keep the blog alive… haha…

So the following is what I have done ever since my previous post “Prawn Fishing at 海滨" on 10th August 2009 until now.

Signup gym membership together with Industrial Attachment (IA) colleagues. It is a unbelievable that I would pay to do exercise… LoL… Well there is always some exceptions in life… so what i usually do is to do a try-catch-finally… so that I won’t get terminated here… haha…
Completed my 6 months IA programme. All thanks to the supervisors and fellow colleagues there, I finally make it to jump over the line which i once thought impossible… Really thanks a lot. Hurray~! End of my life as a student…
Went for One-Timed Spa Session and Yoga Course. Being part of the gym promotion membership package, I was entitled a one-timed spa session and yoga course.
Went to Thailand with IA colleagues. (My 1st airplane experience.)


My 1st driving experience too~!	My 1st heavy drinking experience too~! Lol~!

Went to Taiwan with NTU friends. Went there to 跨年. So I can say that I have been to Taiwan from 2009 to 2010, wow… haha~! I was there for around 10 days if I didn’t remember wrong… the weather then was pretty cold… natural air-con wherever you go… Something i realised there was that the night there is longer than in Singapore. Around 6pm there, the sky will looks like its 8pm in Singapore already. Seems like Taiwan have a longer night time than day time… maybe that is the reason why the girls there are more fair… haha… just my thoughts…
Resumed my NSF Distruption for a period of 2 months. Boring life at SQN being an over-aged NSF there… lol I just simply spent 1 month doing guard-duties, and 1 month enjoying my guard-duty offs sleeping… haha alternate days guard duties are siong loh… haha…
Found my 1st job as a Software Engineer. Start of my life as a working adult… I have just came to realise that what we have learnt in University is way too minimal to bring it to work… lol “Objective: To apply what I have learnt in school to work...” is a bit impossible if we are talking about the technologies learnt in school… hahaha~! But in fact, what I have benefit the most is the skill of self-researching… to find your way out yourself by means of Google… lol This skill is a must to pick up when doing projects in school… Another skill will the art of asking questions… asking the right person and asking wisely can make you quite resourceful sometimes… hahaha~! How? don’t ask me that, because i am also still trying to learn those skills… hahaha~!

Oh yah, I just bought an 16” LCD monitor from the recent PC Show. Although there are other bigger monitor available out there… but due to space constraints… I really can’t afford too big a monitor to place it on my desk. Furthermore, my eyes is too small to look at big screen… hahaha~! But it really feels good to run on 2 monitors, extended desktop… shiok sia… can multitask more… but limited by the processing power of my laptop… time to get a new Desktop PC i guess… lol~!

And yes… I have just got older by one year… sigh… hahaha~! Eh but not bad… at least my colleagues there do celebrate colleagues' birthday… wah… got birthday cake somemore leh… 感动到~~~! hahaha~!

We fished for 1 hour there and caught quite a few prawns. Lucky me caught the biggest prawn among my friends.

After the 1 hour prawn fishing, we barbecued the prawns.

Get cooked is their destination…

It’s an interesting trip after all. My first time fishing for prawns. It is quite boring initially because the prawns simply ignored our hook. Then slowly we observed how others do it, learned a few tricks from our observations, and then prawns start to get hooked to us… lol… or maybe it’s just luck…

The prawns taste ordinary with a little bit of weird taste. But it is still edible, at least i didn’t have any diarrhea after eating them. Haha…

This is a group photo taken on the first day (6th July 2009) of my IA (Industrial Attachment).

It has been 1 week already and so far so good. People there are nice and friendly.

There are a total of 6 NTU interns in this photo. The 2nd one from the right is not interns. But he is 3 or 4 days more senior than us. Someone in the company suggested that the 7 of us take a group photo and email it to everyone in the company to notify them that we are the new faces in the company.

My New Eyeglass 2009

Went to buy my new eyeglass yesterday (03-07-2009) at Opt LABEL in Illuma (someway in Bugis). Heard that the shop is still quite new in Singapore.

They sell eyeglasses (1.5 index lenses with “easy clean coating”) at a package price range of $50, $75 and $100. If you want higher index, then you have to pay a little bit more. The package includes frame, lens, eyes test and a eyeglass box.

Heard that they also provide eyes testing (without purchasing spectacle) for $10. Just in case i wrote anything wrong, you can visit their website at http://www.optlabel.asia/ for more information.

The designs are all displayed nicely in the shop according to their prices. If you have no idea what suit you best, you can ask the people there for advice on which one is more suitable for you. And that was what I did, the person there told me that rectangle shape eyeglasses are more suitable for me and recommended a few designs for me.

After choosing the design of the eyeglass, I went in for my eyes test. Then after the payment, I was told to come back to collect the eyeglass in 1 hour time. That is really fast in my opinion.

They also gave me a card that has my name and NRIC on it. The card has an expiry date. If I go back to them to buy another eyeglass within the expiry date, then I can have a $5 discount. But the expiry date is due in 1 year time and I don’t think i will be making another eyeglass in such short time. Sigh…

This is how my new eyeglass looks like. It has silver matt surface metallic frame.

They have this special spectacle as free gift. Not sure what it is, but it looks quite useless… lol

Wow~! Watched the movie “Transformers - Revenge of the Fallen” yesterday afternoon. It is a nice movie in my opinion.

A lot of fighting actions~! Blade fight…Dang dang dang~! Gun fight… Explosion… Boom boom boom~! And this time, there are many more transformers than in transformers 1.

Some parts are very amusing. Watch out for something dangling when the Devastator is climbing to the top of a pyramid. Lol~!

Is there after credit scene for this movie? Not sure… I didn’t stay to watch the credits… lol

The movie is around 2 hours and 30 minutes. Worth the S$8.50.

Although it only last for a while, but as long as it is still in the top 10, it should bring you some nangs and some amount of traffics to your blog. My Innit post end up at the 2nd place when it was near its 24th hour.

But do beware that sometimes, a too over exaggerated title or a misleading title might cause some nuffnangers to dang your Innit post…

Sigh… I was danged for having a misleading title… which I think is not quite true… haha… I would say that the title is just exaggerated but not misleading. Ok ok maybe a little bit too over exaggerated… lol~! But I was lucky that I was danged once only…

So now you have seen how an exaggerated Innit post title will get you a lot of nuffnangers’ attention and nangs. Now lets look at the effect on the amount of traffic to you blog.

The number of unique visitors went all the way to 148 when I checked it at around 11pm plus on 21st June 2009. Then this morning I checked the analytics for this week, my unique visitors reached 169 on 21st June 2009~! To me, that is a huge amount of visits in just 1 day.

The picture on the left shows how fast the amount of visits to my blog drops after my post was out of the top 10… It drops at an exponential rate…

So to attract nuffnangers’ attention, all you need to do is to just make your Innit post title exaggerated. Hahaha~! Don’t you agree?

Nuffnang Innit Website has Bug?

After reading her blog saying that she “hacked” into my Nuffnang account, I myself encountered similar things too… Lol

It usually happens when I view a profile of a Nuffnang member who is of the same country as me, Singapore. Not sure if members from other countries have such problem. The following are 2 screenshots showing that I happen to be able to view their email, earnings and the number of visits of the current week.

It is a bug right? How can these information be viewed by other members?

If it is not a bug… hmm… Then the only reason that I can think of for it will be for motivation purpose. Maybe it is designed in such a way that we sometimes can randomly see how well or how bad other people are earning. This will motivate those who are still quite far away from their first $50.00 when they see how well other people are earning, and also motivate those who earn a lot to keep up their good work when they see how bad other people are earning. Lol~!

CBox is against BlogExplosion

Have you all ever heard of BlogExplosion? It is a web service which allows you to earn credits by surfing other people’s blog. The credits can then be used to assign traffics to you blog.

I have been trying to use BlogExplosion for quite some time already but my application to add my blog was not approved by their admin. It says that:

However, I don’t remember me putting any auto pop-up script on my blog. But as shown in the following picture, my blog does have pop-up ads. Just that Firefox has blocked the pop-up from coming out.

So what is it that creates the pop-up ads?! I have Nuffnang, Adbrite and Bidvertiser on my blog displaying ads, are they responsible for the pop-up ads?

Then I came across this forum thread “is CBOX making pop-up auto now?, ur CBOX causing auto pop-up?”

They said that CBox has pop-up ads and they recommended ShoutMix instead. So I went to take a look at both their features to check if it is true that CBox has pop-up ads.

The following 2 pictures are not the complete list of their features. Only those relating to ads are display in the following 2 pictures.

As you can see that both CBox and ShoutMix does not have ads-free feature for basic account. But the difference is that ShoutMix states that they have no pop-up ads. So for that reason, I have to say goodbye my CBox and welcome ShoutMix to my blog.

It is not Corn! It is Wart!

Previously I have posted about the condition of my corn in the post: Corn Underneath My Big Toe. The thing underneath my right leg big toe has been near 1 and 1/2 months already, from late April until 13th June. I can’t stand the pain anymore and went to visit a doctor for it in the morning.

According to the doctor, the thing underneath my big toe is not a corn. He told me that it is a wart. I have no idea what a wart is. So he showed me some pictures of wart from the internet and briefly explained that corn is caused by friction and wart is caused by virus infection.

Next he proceeded on to help me to remove it. First of all, I was told to put on a mask. The mask I was asked to put on are those type that dentist usually wore, just 1 piece of cloth or paper or something like that. The nurse assisting the doctor also wore one that is of the same type as mine. The doctor himself wore a solid cup mask. Because he has to deal with ~~my stink foot~~ the wart which is contagious…

He then injected anesthetics on my wart area so that my whole big toe was numbed, in other words, local anesthesia was done on my toe. At first I thought he was going to use the needle to poke and burst off the wart. Because during the injection, I felt as if the wart area was expanding and was going to burst. I would say that this was the most painful part throughout the whole operation, no more pain after this.

Since I won’t feel any more pain after the injection, I just sit back and relax a bit while the doctor was doing the operation. I smelled scents of burning smell during the operation, but didn’t know what was done to the wart because 50% of the time I was closing my eyes. After it was done, I was allowed to see the affected area on my toe before the doctor bandaged it. Wow, one hole there… no blood… inside the hole is totally white. Too bad I didn’t take picture of the hole on my toe.

After that, I was given 2 types of medicines that I am to finish it in 3 days time.

My toe camwhoring… continued from 18-05-2009 onwards.

On 22-05-2009, I tried to peel the thick skin off.

A portion of the lesion can be seen from the side view. I stop peeling it off because its painful to do so.

Once again, the portion of the lesion which can be seen from the side view.

Finally peel off the thick skin together with a portion of the lesion as shown in the inner side of the peel off photo.. It is not removed fully from my toe.

I gave up using the corn removal pad and stop taking photos of it since it doesn’t seems to improve… Until 13-06-2009, took some photos before and after the operation.

Alright after the operation, my toe was still numbed due to the effect of the anesthetics even after I reached home for hours.

13-06-2009: Me scratching my toe but doesn’t feel anything

I experience 1 session of diarrhea on Saturday (14-06-2009) afternoon. I think is maybe caused by Clarithromycin as diarrhea is one of the common side-effects as written in Wikipedia.

I was told to keep the wound away from contact of water, but I think maybe got kena a little bit of water droplets while bathing. Hope it won’t affect the wound.

So far so good, no pain. Going back to visit the doctor tomorrow 16-06-2009 to remove the bandage and check on the wound.

Recently when I was watching a Taiwan variety show named 蝴蝶蝴蝶生ㄉ真美丽, I came across this:

Wahaha! These five words, 美少女便秘, remind me of something, which is “Chio Bu ish no need to pang sai wan!”, which I read in EDMW forum (thread: I maked an amazing discovery today... chio bu is rly dont pang sai one). In case anyone do not understand Hokkien, “Chio Bu” means pretty girl and “Pang Sai” means bowel motion. The direct translation of that 5 chinese words will be Pretty Young Girl Constipation if i am not wrong.

Singapore tio the 1st case of influenza A (H1N1-2009) case liaoz… I was shock upon hearing the news on radio. Went to read up more on it. The following are some of the important things that we should know.

Affected areas (Areas with evidence of community transmission of Influenza A (H1N1-2009)) are: Mexico, USA and Canada so far.

How to Protect Yourself and Others

For personal protection, the following is essential:

Influenza A (H1N1) can be spread through droplets when an infected person coughs, sneezes or speaks. It can also be spread when a person touches a contaminated surface and then touches his nose or mouth. To protect yourself and others around you against Influenza A (H1N1), you can:

Wash your hands regularly and thoroughly with soap and water, especially before touching your eyes, nose or mouth.
Turn quickly away from anyone near you if you are about to cough or sneeze.
Cover your nose and mouth with a piece of tissue paper when coughing or sneezing. Dispose of the tissue paper properly in the dust bin after use.
Avoid crowded places if you are unwell and wear a surgical mask to cover your nose and mouth. Seek prompt medical attention.
Stay home when you are sick. Do not go out, to work or to school.

Corn Underneath My Big Toe

!~hhhhA Ahhhh~! My big toe has corn~! My freaking 1st corn~! Its irritating~! Its painful~! Its gross~!

Bought this corn removal plaster to see if it can really remove it. It comes with 2 things inside the box. The medicated discs (those small brown circles in the photo) and the plasters with cushion padding. 4 of each of these 2 things in the box. You only see 2 of each because the other 2 has been used.

I have been using it for quite some time already.

The following are the camwhoring photos of my big toe…

The 1st photo is my big toe with the corn as at 11-05-2009. Follow by my big toe with the corn as at 13-05-2009. And then my big toe with the corn as at 15-05-2009. Its seems like the corn removal plaster is hardening the skin on the corn area. And the skin turn yellowish as it harden.

And finally on 16-05-2009, I was able to peel off the thick and hard skin on the corn area. The following are the photos of the peeled off skin.

The side view of the peeled off skin shows that its damn thick… I put the skin in front of a florescent light and take a photo of it to show that it is hollow in the center of the skin.

That means that the thick skin on the center of the corn was not removed.

This is my big toe after peeling off the thick skin around the corn area as at 16-05-2009.

I continued to peel the thick skin at the center of the corn which the process was quite painful…

ho seh liao… And i got myself into this situation… The photos after that is too bloody to post here…

Since its already bleeding, I thought I should stop applying the corn removal plaster because the active ingredient is salicylic acid. And I don’t think its a good idea to apply acid on an open wound.

This is my big toe with the corn as at 17-05-2009. It seems like the corn looks less whitish when I stop applying the corn removal plaster.

Since now its not bleeding anymore, I shall continue using the corn removal plaster.

Testing PSU (Power Supply Unit) without using Mainboard

Went to Eddy’s house today to see (eye power… LoL) NYC helping Eddy to troubleshoot his PC. Saw how he test if the PSU is working. Its amazing to me. I didn’t know it can be done that way until he show it to me, cool!

I was told that a PSU won’t run unless it is connected to a mainboard. So how to test a PSU without connecting it to the mainboard?

Firstly you need a PSU and a jumper wire. Oh yah, and a power source too… of course… . Connect the PSU to the power source and power it on. By using the jumper wire (or anything similar and is safe), short the Power on (or PS_ON#) pin and the Ground (or GND) pin of the PSU main connector. The following 2 pictures show the layout of the PSU main connector of 20-pin ATX and 24-pin ATX.

It is said that when the Power on pin is pulled to TTL (Transistor–Transistor Logic) low, the PSU will start to provide those ±12V, ±5V and +3.3V to the outlet cables. For more infomation on why is it designed like this, read section 3.3.2 PS_ON# (page 19) of this pdf file –> http://www.formfactors.org/developer%5Cspecs%5CATX12V_1_3dg.pdf

Therefore we can simulate this TTL low by shorting the Power on pin to the Ground pin. In another words, just short the Green wired pin with any Black wired pin will do.

However, it is also mentioned in this article that doing this repeatedly or too many times can cause damage to your PSU. So I wouldn't recommend doing this on your own PSU ~~(which means: feel free to do it if you are helping your friend to troubleshoot his/her PC… wahahaha~!)~~, unless it is a last resort.

萱, 卉, 靖, 大嘴巴 School Concerts

Wahahaha~! It has been some time ever since my last post here. I have been busy with my school work, FYP (Final Year Project), examinations (my so called “last examination in NTU”) and FYP oral presentation. All these ended on 04/05/2009. Hurray~!

Apart from my academic stuff, I have watched 3 school concerts in this semester. The concert tickets are as shown in the left photo.

Although both of them are Singapore singer, but it seems to me like those who start their singing career in Singapore will be of less outstanding in terms of performance than those who start in Taiwan. The last ticket at the bottom of the photo is the 大嘴巴《王元口力口》校园演唱会 which was held on 13/03/2009. Haha, don’t remember much from this concert. Probably because March was when most of the assignments deadline were. Too stressful and so the memories for March is lost. LoL.

But none of all these school concerts is comparable to Claire 郭静《下一个天亮》校园演唱会. Because only 郭静 walk around the theater to shake hand with most of the audiences including me… Wakakaka!

Finally got myself a portable hard disk. Storage size of 160GB. Bought it from Sim Lim Square at the price of S$72.00.

As shown on the photo on the right. it comes with a USB cable, a black coloured pouch, a small cross-head screwdriver and the Hard Disk with its aluminum casing on.

Windows Live Messenger Error code: 8e5e0531

A few days ago, I was told by my Windows Live Messenger (if I remember correctly, it was version 8.5) that I can’t login to my MSN because there is a newer version of Windows Live Messenger. I was also given the link to the download page. So I clicked on the link: get.live.com/messenger/overview and downloaded the installation file. But the installation file doesn’t seems to work. Because its an online installation process, so I thought its the connection problem to the installation server.

So I waited for a few hours, I tried to install it again, same thing, installation failed. So I search for alternative source for the installation file and came across this webpage –> download.live.com/messenger. I finally managed to login to my MSN after the download and installation.

End of nightmare? NO~!

After the update from Windows Live Messenger Version 8.5 to Windows Live Messenger Beta Version 2009 (Build 14.0.5027.908) from the download.live.com/messenger,

it still gives me problem~!

Sometime, I am able to login to my MSN, sometime I can’t! And even when I am logged in, after a few hours, it will automatically log me out~! Then after the logout, my attempt to login again gives me this Error Code: 8e5e0531.

So I tried Google the solution to solve the Error Code: 8e5e0531 problem and I came across this webpage –> Click Here.

It says,
“First of all you can try rebooting your machine then you could try use the repair function on msn.

You could also try resetting ur modem and make sure your firewall is not blocking msn or the ports.”

I tried and it really works. But to restart PC every few hours (because the WML log me out every few hours) is really very troublesome. If anyone has a solution for this problem, please do leave a message on the Chatting Zone. Thanks in advance.

Purple or Blue?

Happens to came across this blog post here. It is basically about 2 people arguing about colours.

josh524 claims that the "My Blog" as shown in this picture is purple.
cathyc claims that the "My Blog" as shown in this picture is blue.

If you do not want to read the details, you can scroll down to read the conclusion directly.

Alright if you choose to read on, let's now study this picture with the help of Adobe Photoshop's Colour Picker tool ...

In case you do not know what RGB value is, I shall briefly explain it here. It is represented in this format #RRGGBB where RR is the hexadecimal value representing the primary colour Red, GG for Green and BB for Blue.

The default blue have RGB value equal to #0000FF.
The RGB value for the blue as shown in that picture is #0000FE.

The default purple have RGB value equal to #800080.
The RGB value for the purple as shown in that picture is #871F78.

The default indigo have RGB value equal to #4B0082.
The RGB value for the indigo as shown in that picture is #2E0855.

The RGB value for the "My Blog" as shown in that picture is #1F224F

FYI: The so call default value here means I type in the colour names(eg. blue, purple, indigo, ...) in this website and then use Adobe Photoshop's Colour Picker tool to get the RGB value.

The definition of purple can be found in Wikipedia over here.
It says, "Purple is a general term for the range of shades of color occurring between red and blue. It is formed (in both subtractive pigment and additive light combinations) by mixing the primary colors red and blue in varying proportions, with possibly a very small quantity of the third primary color (green for light or yellow for pigment).
...
A difference in retinal sensitivity to red and blue light between individuals can cause further disagreement."

So that means as long as the G value is smaller than both the R value and the B value (G<R & G<B), then it can be generally be said to be purple colour. Whether or not it looks more towards red or blue will depends on each individual's retinal sensitivity.

So now let us break the "My Blog" colour down to its primary colour,
R = 1F (in Hexadecimal) = 31 (in Decimal)
G = 22 (in Hexadecimal) = 34 (in Decimal)
B = 4F (in Hexadecimal) = 79 (in Decimal)

The observation shows:
(G<R & G<B) is False. Therefore it cannot be said to be purple colour. So josh524's statement is proven to be False.
In addition, B is more than G is more than R (B>G>R). So Blue is the dominating primary colour in the "My Blog" colour. So cathyc's statement is proven to be True.

Conclusion:
josh524's statement saying that the "My Blog" as shown in this picture is purple is proven to be False.
cathyc's statement saying that the "My Blog" as shown in this picture is blue is proven to be True.

Woohoo~~~ I think it looks neater than the previous one.

Wahahaha! Last week was my 1 week break a.k.a. Recess week for this semester. Busy doing projects and reports. But still managed to do some sports which I am always lazy to do before this break. Met up with NYC last Tuesday(23/09/2008) at our nearby CC for badminton for an hour. 1st time play there after it was renovated. What? Which CC? Oh its called the 什么 Hen 什么 De 什么 Son one...

Also met up with some same course friends for a sport marathon. 1st we played badminton, then table tennis and lastly basketball. Then after that I still went out to meet my RSAF friends for KTV... what a happening Friday(26/09/2008). Then until now, I can still feel the tiredness. Haiz...

Wahahaha! Last minute got her ticket! Went to her concert right after the last lecture of the day.

She is very friendly, walk around the LKC Lecture Theatre to shake hand with the audiences along the way while she is singing. And I managed to shake hand with her! Wahahaha!!!

There is this guy who even managed to hug her!!! Lucky one...

Wahahaha! In response to NYC's post, I went to do the quiz and I got it all correct at 1st attempt too!

How I do it?

First, right-click on the quiz page and select "View Source" (that is if you are using IE browser, not sure how to get to the view source option for browsers like FF and Opera). You should be able to find those codes highlighted in the red box in the following picture, in the "View Source".

The thumbnail picture is a bit blured, you might need to click to see the original size so that the text in the picture is legible.

In the picture, you will be able to see the "true" and "false" corresponding to its jpg number. The "true" means that jpg is female and "false" means that jpg is not female.

Backlight Problem of Samsung SGH-I450

Alright I finally settled my handphone problem mentioned in the earlier post fixed.

The Backlight Problem is caused by the incompatability between the Singtel 3G SIM card and the I450 firmware. Heard that is due to some difference in the voltage specs...

Went down to the Samsung Mobile Phone Customer Service to ask for a fix to this Backlight Problem, but they told me that the another version of the I450 firmware is not yet ready and asked me to leave down my contact number so that they can contact me when its ready. And they say it will most likely take around 1 or 2 months. They also told me that the I450 firmware that my phone is having now, does not have this problem with an older version of Singtel 3G SIM card, but they are not very sure of what version or which batch of the Singtel SIM card it is.

So, I walk all the way to ComCentre which is located somewhere nearby to get the SIM card changed. Done, Backlight Problem solved! Hurray!!!

Henderson Waves

Went to Henderson Waves to see see look look.

Alright let's take a look at the photos taken using my Samsung SGH-I450 camera phone. On the left hand side, you can see that is a photo taken under bright lightings condition. Hmm... looks pretty good at thumbnail size.

But if you were to click on it to see the original resolution, you will notice that those relatively fine details were blurred. Its especially obvious when you look at the gress patch.

On the right hand side, its a photo taken using digital zoom at max. Arh~~~ pixelated photo... very bad.

Now its time for some night shots.

The following photo was being processed before to make it such that the people in the photo and the colour of their clothes are at least visible. When it is really very dark, the flash of my camera phone is totally made useless.

Where am I? I am the one holding my Samsung SGH-I450 2MP camera-handphone. Hahaha! Alright as u can see that the camera does not capture good photos under dark lightings condition. But at least can still see the human shape ah.. lol!

Yes! Its already 2 years since I last bought my Samsung SGH-E770. Its time to change new handphone. Today went out to many places to look for Samsung SGH-I450. It is not a very new handphone. Its already out in the market for around 1 year. Many handphone shops have already stop stocking in this model.

is the Samsung SGH-E770.

I bought mine at hello!@Bugis Junction there at 4:35pm. Heng there still got stock. This model comes with 3 different colour casings. White/red, White/blue and Black/red. I took the Black/red colour. I find those white one not so good because those white casing usually turns a bit yellowish after some time. Heard that the shop left 2 stock for the Black/red, I was so lucky... haha...

Spent S$198.00 for the phone with 2 years plan with Singtel.

Next I head down to Sim Lim Square to get the screen protector. Why sls? haha! Because last time I bought my screen protector for my Samsung SGH-E770 there. Just pay S$12.00 and the shop keeper there will help you clean the screen and paste the protector on. Good for me because I am not good at doing the job myself.

This time when I went there, I could find neither the screen protector for this model nor any screen protector that has the same screen size as I450. So I go and ask the shop keeper there and she suggest to use a bigger one to cut to 2.4" for my I450.

Total damage: S$210.00

Unlike many Samsung handphone, I450 have relatively louder ringtone to me. But in terms of camera, its just "so so only".

Now the only problem I found on I450 is the "Backlight Problem". When left idle, the backlight will auto light up itself at 30sec interval. Not sure if it is a feature or what, but I think that will drain the battary faster. Have to go to the Samsung service centre to see if its a problem or did I set some wrong settings that makes it like this.

Changing Badminton Grip

It had been a long time since I last played badminton. It was until last Monday (07/07/08), me, NYC, Eddy, Pika, and Pika's group of friends went to play at Achorvale CC there.

While playing, I realised that the handle of my racket became very "powdery". Turn to look into my hand to find out what happened... lol

As expected, my right hand that was holding the racket became so black! All the black black powder from the wear and tear of the grip of the handle.

That is always a problem when using synthetic grips. The synthetic material tends to wear off alot after some time. Especially for my case, after don't know how many months...

This is the old grip on my badminton racket.

Let's zoom in... See those white spots? Yeah, those are the wear off part!

Therefore, went out to bought a new grip, Towelling Grip just now.

Spent some time fixing it to my racket. The bottom of the handle is something like a cone shape, that is why I have problem making the grip to roll upwards nicely. I am quite noob at that...

After some struggling, finally managed to make it, not so nice but done anyway... Wakakaka~~~!

Recommended by Eddy to watch a korea drama titled "Couple or Trouble" aka "Fantastic Couple" or 《夢幻情侶》.

I have watched 2 episode already and I find it interesting. It is about a very rich girl who is already married, then loss her memory somehow and fall in love with a guy that she hates... something like that.

Sorry if my description of the drama is wrong as I only finished watching 2 episodes until now. but I don't think it is a very serious love drama, its should be a comedy love drama because the 1st and 2nd episode is quite funny.

My Laptop's desktop as at 2007/12/25

My 1st attempt to format and recover my Lenovo IBM T60 laptop after it was bought around one and a half years ago (3 semester).

Unlike formating my PC, the recovery process destroys all partition in the physical hard disk and recover everything beck to factory default, which means I have to backup the things I want into another media(in my case DVD and external hard disk). What I did in the past to my PC was that I can just shift everything I want from the C drive to D drive and format my C drive to reinstall Windows.

Lenovo IBM T60 comes with 9 Recovery CDs and that is a lot compare to other laptops. None of the CDs are the Windows XP CD. What stored inside the 9 CDs are mostly drivers and some programs that I consider as junk (I cannot tell you what program I am referring here, because the company of that program also own Blogspot now! Hahaha!) , LOL~!

Say goodbye to all those old Windows gadgets that accompanied me for the past one and a half years. Good thing is that what I have now is all latest version, Rainlendar 2.2, Serious Samurize v1.64.3 and SpeedFan 4.33. Also say bye bye to Symantec Security, I now use AVG and Comodo which uses lesser resources. Yeah!

Too bad I forgot what software I used to remove the Recycle bin from the desktop in the past. If not my desktop will be perfectly clean.

Went to Plaza Singapura to watch the movie 《投名狀》 "The Warlords". A very nice movie, see how they fight in war, wow power! See how archers pwn the riflemans.

Then after the movie, really got nothing to do liao, so go in the arcade just beside the cinema to play play a while loh, since its still quite early for dinner at that time. Hahaha, there I saw a few basketball machines. Have been watching 《娱乐百分百》 for quite some time liao, see them play the basketball machine is like very fun leh. So I also 手痒痒 wanted to go play loh. S$1 for 1 game.

雨中足球篇：
Actually was suppose to play soccer in the morning one, but then hor, due to the super duper heavy rain (not the korean singer Rain ah, I am referring to the real weather rain here. hahaha, i know its damn lame, LOL~) , we have to hide under a shelter to play UNO (thanks lau for bringing the UNO cards, heng ah~).

then hor, at around noon, the rain stopped. but the street soccer court still wet wet leh, but we still play lah.. lol

and then hor, there is this guy hor, who shoot straight into my face loh, what a head shot loh. thanks man, LOL~ (no name mentioned here ah). so near still shoot so hard and so high for what sia?!?! street soccer mah, its suppose to keep the ball below chest level mah. somemore right in-front the goal only leh.

also hor, there is also this guy hor, guarding me mah, cause the ball is with me. then instead of tackling the ball from me hor, he used his leg to splash those rain water on the floor, on me!!! WTH!!! act cute ah? LOL~ (also no name mentioned here ah)

aiya but dont worry ah those guys mentioned above, no one was blamed... its just a game mah... (T_T) LOL~

Mouse Autopsy 滑鼠大解剖

This is a Logitech Optical Mouse. Let's open it up to see what is inside and what can I recycle from it.

There you see a circuit board, a USB cable connected to the circuit board, a roller and the shell of the mouse.

Let's take a closer look at the circuit board. On the top part of the circuit board, there is 3 black colour components, those are the mouse clicking buttons of the mouse.
This mouse was abandoned because of its left click button is spoilt, so probably is the top left black colour component on the circuit board.
The USB cable can be disconnected from the board for recycle.

~~~ After 30 minutes of desoldering and cutting ~~~

Ok, these are those that i think is of not much usage. The IC chips, phototransister, infra-red emitter, capacitors and the board (components named here might be wrong).

This is the spoilt left click button. There is no more "click" sound or feel when it is pressed.

These are the component that I reserved for later used.
2 x button switches, 1 x 5pin connection seat, 2 x resistors, a LED attatched to a acrylic plastic and a USB connection cable.

These are the components that was thrown away.

DDP Finally Ended

Life has never been easy for me... hahaha!!! After exam still need to go back to school to do project, Micro-Mouse!!! Dont ask me why its call DDP, coz i also dont know what it stands for, hahaha!!! but its still kind of fun anyway, just very tedious for that particular 1 week period after exam, but everything we did is worth it!!!

In the photo, u can see me and my DDP group-mates, 2007 Semester 1 DDP group 10.
Starting from the left of the back row: Cheu Eng Kiat, Wang Peiyi and Toh Yixuan.
From the left of the front row: Chee Jian Wei, Chong Khai En, Me and Sng Yong Pei Eugene.
Last but not least, our Micro-Mouse Robot in the center of the photo! Chio right! Yeah... hahaha!!!

That photo was taken on the last day of the DDP, 07/12/2007. That was the day after 4 consecutive of restless nights struggling to make the micro-mouse work.

Basically what this micro-mouse do is that firstly, it must be abled to follow black coloured line.
Secondly, it must be abled to explore an unknown sized map with black coloured grid lines on it.
Thirdly, given a destination, it must be abled to reach the destination by the shortest path and by the fastest path, 2 seperate functions.
Furthermore, given a series of destinations to visit, it must be abled to travel using the fastest path to visit all the destinations, aka Traveling Sales Man or Traveling Sales Person (TSP).
In addition we also provide a function where by instead of using the fastest path to do the TSP, it can also use shortest path to do the TSP.

All of the above are only the basic features required as mentioned by the lecturers. We didnt managed to do those fanciful fanciful features which some of the other groups did (well done for them!). Too bad that some of the lecturers do comparison between ours and theirs while assessing our micro-mouse. Sigh... But wont be that bad bah (I hope), at least we met all the required features. Cheers!

7 月 22 号，是我和一些在 Orchard Popular 工作的朋友，工作的最后一天。

比平时提早了半小时起床，心想，竟然已是最后一天了，千万不可以迟到。

到了 Orchard Popular 门前，看见里面有好几位穿着便衣的人。应该是来取代我们的新 part-timer 吧。多半是女生。。。哈哈哈~~~ 好兴奋哦！

进去 office，和往常一样地把背包放下，将 water bottle 和 name tag 取出。想要走出 office 的时候，一位 full-time staff 叫我准备抹把。

哇，一大清早就要抹地？原来是因为 multimedia 和 text/assesment department 的 storeroom 漏水了。听说好像是因为那个地带的上面有一些不知道是什么的工程在进行，再加上昨天晚上的一场滔滔大雨所导致的。

来到 recieving room，放下 water bottle，便马上从那里拿了抹地需要用到的工具往 storeroom 的方向走去。

OMG!!! 我的天啊！该不会是我早上没把眼屎擦干净吧？眼前的这一幕实在让我大吃一惊。咖啡色的液体从 storeroom 里冒出来。

把门打开，玩完了。那些 game CD 大多数都进水了。

后来抹到一半，我的 HOD (Head of Department) 就叫我和另外一位 part-timer 不要再抹了。说是要拍下照片为证，向在上面施工的负责人索取赔偿。大概就是这样。具体的情况，我也不知道，小职员而已嘛。哈哈~

一群 20 来岁的 part-timer 男生聚在一起，说的话题当然是比较调皮的啦。拿着那张 attendance list，看着里面的新名字，我们就猜说哪位是哪位。黑衣的是谁，白衣又是谁。。。总共有 3 女 1 男，但是其中一位女的下午才会到。 3 女 1 男，阴盛阳衰的局面。

当时那些新人离我们不远，就不知道有没有听到我们的猜测。如果有的话，应该会觉得我们简直是无聊透顶吧。。。哈哈，最后我全都猜错了，只猜对那唯一的男生的名字。嗨。。。

然后就是 morning briefing。说道 morning briefing 就会想起以前在 NS 时，做 Airforce Technician 的时候一样，也是有 morning briefing。唯一的不同就是当时的 morning briefing 是清一色男生，现在的 morning briefing 则是有男也有女。天渊之别啊。

在 morning briefing 里就有介绍那 4 位新来的 part-timer，谁去那个 department。来取代我，来到 Multimedia department 的就是那位穿着黑衣的女生（哈哈，其实 “风神” 也待我不薄嘛）。待会儿再形容她多一点。 hehehe~~~ :-)

Morning briefing 后，我便去拿那所谓的 “金枕头”。 “金枕头” 指的就是一个蓝色的铁箱子。里面装的都是那些 online game card。 “金枕头” 这个名字其实是在一次的开玩笑中取的。因为每天 end of day 的时候都要纪录铁箱子里面剩下多少 online game card，近乎每一次，我纪录完之后，我都是抱着铁箱子去找当天的 duty manager，给他放进保险箱里。

就有一次，这位 full-time staff 看到我抱着铁箱子，便笑说：“又来了，又来了。。。”
我就说：“哈哈，我抱着金枕头来了。。。”

我也扮演了一小段《金枕头》里面的经典台词：“我听见了。。。我听见海浪的声音。。。”

就这样，蓝色的铁箱子就有了 “金枕头” 的这个名称。哈哈哈~~~

从 office 里拿出 “金枕头” 后，我往 recieving room 的方向走去。想在那里找张椅子坐下来，点算一下 “金枕头” 里面的 online game card。在途中，我的 HOD 就叫我带那位新人，因为她需要收拾一下 storeroom 里的残局。 hehehe~~~

那位新人的名字叫做。。。哈哈，还是不要讲名字好了。。。哈哈~ 在这里就叫她黑衣妹妹吧。穿着黑色 T-Shirt 和深蓝色牛仔裤。身高应该有 165cm 左右吧。应该不会猜错，因为今天她穿的不是高跟鞋啊。体重是。。。不知道。染了一点点金色的头发，长度中等，差不多到肩膀上一点点的位置。脸上没带有岁月的痕迹，四个字，眉清目秀。耳朵带着蓝绿色的耳环~~~ 最美的就是她那灿烂的笑容~~~ 无价~~~

有朋友跟我说她看起来很 “刀”。是因为她的下巴有一点尖的关系吗？也不会很尖啦，就很好看嘛。。。

带着黑衣妹妹，我们来到了 recieving room 一起算卡。 hehehe~~~

我笑着问她：“你姓石吗？”
她平淡地回答说：“huh? not funny loh...”

虽然她不觉得好笑，但我还是笑了，因为实在太好笑了。哈哈哈~~~ 这就是我和她第一次的谈话内容。有看《绝对Superstar》的朋友们应该都猜到我所说的意思了吧。我问这问题的时候是觉得应该会挺搞笑的。但事后，我觉得我好白痴啊。竟然会一开始第一句话就问怎么白痴的问题。可能这就是我吧。哈哈~

我常跟我朋友说，人说的话，近乎每一句都带着两个意思。一个是比较表面的意思。宁一个则是暗藏在内的意思，需要用心去领悟的。就打个比方说，以上的对话中，可以看得出他是个很有个性，很有想法的女生。何以见得呢？因为她不会因为我是前辈，她是新人，而配合我所问的问题发笑啊。非常直接，非常坦白的说出她的想法。哈哈~ 可能是我想太多了。。。

算完卡之后，我们便离开了 recieving room，来到了 multimedia 的地盘。我告诉她哪一支钥匙是用来开哪一个橱柜的。讲解完早上需要做的事情之后，我们当然也有聊其他的事啦。详细内容, 读者们不需要知道。哈哈~

然后就是 multimedia 地盘布署小更动。因为之前 HOD 放假的时候所做的地盘布署更动不太妥当，所以必须把 “CD-R 小红山” 摆放到和其他 CD-R 放在一起，并且把 printers 的位置跟摆放 CD wallets 的位置掉换。 “CD-R 小红山” 的搬运过程中，身为男生的我当然尽量让黑衣妹妹做比较轻松的活啊。怜香惜玉, 我懂。哈哈~ 我们就这样，边聊边搬，边搬边聊。

由于 HOD 和黑衣妹妹都是女生，而我的力量其实也很有限啊，所以位置掉换的搬运过程中就找来了另外两位男同事来帮忙。 5 个人来搬会比较快搬完。可是我是觉得没这个必要的。我的力量虽然很有限，但是还是可行的啊。多一点点时间而已嘛。。。哈哈哈~~~

中午 12 点左右， HOD 的吃饭时间到了。那是她最开心的时间，因为每次到了这个时候，她都会跟我说：“我最开心的时间到了，我去吃饭了啊。 bye bye~”

接下来的 45 分钟，我和黑衣妹妹就边聊边工作。她想知道什么，我都尽量满足她。当然有些是有关在这里工作的事，有些是与工作无关紧要的事。 hehehe~~~

聊着聊着才知道，原来待会儿下午才来的那位 part-timer 是她的好朋友。据了解，黑衣妹妹自己是个电脑白痴，相反的，她的那位好友则对电脑比较了解。很奇怪的是， “风神” 竟然会把黑衣妹妹安排到 multimedia department，而把她的好友安排到 english department。黑衣妹妹自己也透露说她比较想要被安排到 english department。（嗨。。。怎么办呢？都说了嘛， “风神” 是个好人，他待我不薄啊。。。哈哈哈~~~ ）没办法了，都已经被安排到 multimedia department 了。既来之，则安之。更何况，我又不是什么大奸大恶的人物，我才不会欺负女生呢。我很乐意把我所懂的，全部传授给她。 hehehe~~~

我们那天近乎形影不离，我在哪里，她都在我身旁。哈哈~ 工作上的需要嘛。她不跟我，怎么学东西呢？哈哈哈~~~ 我常笑我朋友，说他和某某同事形影不离，走得那么靠近。现在轮到我了，哈哈~ 他们笑我说，我今天脸上有好多笑容，也有人说我不时有脸红的现象。我只能说，笑容嘛，那是我一贯的作风啊。服务业啊，笑容是一定要有的。至于脸红嘛， hehehe~ 我不知道啦。。。可能是脸部血管组织比较发达吧，哈哈哈~~~

就有一次，我和她进去 storeroom 里面找 game 的 complete set 来 redeem 给顾客。

我问她：“喂，他们有没有给你一个英文名啊？”
她说：“没有啊。做么 leh ？”
我说：“哦，没事啦。因为你来到这里工作，他们就一定会给你一个英文名哟。”
她说：“是吗？”
我笑说：“因为他们每次叫我的时候都会叫：‘multi！’，所以我的英文名就叫做 ‘multi’ 咯。哈哈~”
她说：“哈哈~ 那我不就叫做 ‘media’ 了吗？哈哈~”

（那我们不就成了一对了吗？哈哈哈~~~ 我又想太多了。。。）

我曾跟她说过：“。。。如果你喜欢的话，你可以 call 我，我可以天天陪你去吃饭。。。”

那时她说我今天是在这工作的最后一天，而她却是第一天。她说的时候带着羡慕的口吻。心血来潮之下，我才会说出这番话。这番话其实是看电视学来的。因为不久前在电视里看《综艺大哥大》时，就有一个人，他模仿吴宗宪模仿得很像。他那时候就用了吴宗宪的口吻说出了类似那样的话。

我说出那番话之后，她的反应是：“Wow~~~ ~~~ ~~~ ~~~”

她知道我是在开玩笑啦。但我其实不介意她把那句话当真。

晚餐之后，我帮忙 HOD 把 storeroom 里的货放进一个个箱子里，放置在 recieving room，以免晚上下大雨时， storeroom 又在漏水。而黑衣妹妹就一个人站着看顾客是否需要帮忙。当然时不时也有进去 recieving room 和她的好友讲话。

把货放置在 recieving room 之后，我又回到她的身边了。哈哈~ 看她还有什么想学，想知道的，趁我还没离去之前，全部传授给她。就算是工作以外的问题，我也很愿意回答。。。哈哈哈~

大概是晚上 8 点 30 分左右的时候，我便叫她去拿那 “金枕头” 来点算里面的卡。我也有帮她算一点，减轻她的负担。怜香惜玉，我懂。哈哈哈~~~

顾客人群渐渐撒去，扫地时间到了，我拿了扫把及簸箕（dustpan），本想要自己扫的，粗重的活，我来就行了。没想到她跟我说让她扫。因为我今天是最后一天了，扫地的话，对我不太吉利。虽然不太明白为什么，但就还是让她扫，只要是她要的，可以给的我会都给她。。。哈哈哈~~~

“我走了以后，你就是这把钥匙的主人了。。。”

当然最后一天了，也不忘跟咪咪姐姐八卦一下啦。八卦的内容不方便透露。。。哈哈哈~~~ 到了最后一天晚上，我充分地发挥了我骨子里暗藏已久的搞笑功力，做出一系列的夸张搞笑动作，逗得诸位姐姐们乐开了怀。哈哈~ 没想到我这么厉害吧。哈哈~ 哈哈哈~~~ 我想我是开心过头了。。。

因为每个员工离开前都得等那天的 duty manager 开 “鬼门”，让他检查包包之后才能走。而 duty manager 通常都会等到一群人准备好了要出去了的时候，才会去开“鬼门”。所以一旦错失了 “鬼门” 开的时辰之后，就得等等等了又等。。。拖延回家的时间。。。

在 office 里，打了卡之后，走出 office 的门。哇！不得了！ Duty manager 已经等得不耐烦了， “鬼门” 就快要关了。

我马上喊道：“靓女！唔無咁样啦，靓女！” 请求她不要那么快关门。

有位 cashier 很惊讶我会说广东话。没想到吧，哈哈哈~~~

我就用广东话开玩笑地回应她说：“哈哈~ 扮猪吃老虎！”

离开了 Orchand Popular 门外，还以为黑衣妹妹也是乘搭 MRT 回家的，但我错了。她和她的好友是乘搭 Bus 回家的。也只能说声再见了。。。如果没有记错，我好像还喊说叫她记得 call 我~~~

但我由始至终，都没有跟她交换手机号码和 MSN 。。。

在等候地铁的当儿，就上演了一段 “霸王硬上车” 的一幕。到底发生了什么事情呢？哈哈~ 当事人自己会明白的啦。有些事情不必讲得太白的啦。哈哈哈~~~

当和我一起乘搭地铁的朋友都下车了，只剩我一个人的时候，我慕名奇妙地眼眶湿湿的。不知道是因为地铁里的空气太干，太刺眼，还是真的因为有了遗憾。但还好，眼泪还不至于多到泪流满面。马上拿出纸巾，好像擦掉眼屎般地将眼泪擦去。

夕阳无限美，只是近黄昏。有朋友问我为什么不 extend，继续做下去呢？太阳若是要下山，又有谁能阻拦得了它呢？我既然说了要走，又怎能出尔反尔，言而无信呢？若不是因为我要走，她又怎会出现呢？该来的会来，该走的会走。。。

Today went to the Food Republic at Wisma Atria to have my dinner. Then there is this hawker who asked me a question that stunned me...

Hawker: "4 块钱，你在 ‘下面’ 做工吗？"

What?!?! Did he just mentioned "下面"??? He means Hell ah??? WTF!?!?

Hawker: "如果是在 ‘下面’ 做工的话就有折扣。"

Wah! Got discount ah!!!

hlt8888: "是啊是啊，我在‘下面’ 做工的啊。打多少折啊？"
Hawker: "10% discount. 所以算你 $3.60."

Actually the hawker is trying to say that the people working in Wisma Atria get to enjoy 10% discount for their expenses in that Food Republic. Not Hell... LOL!!!

Haha, happens to do duty today. Duty includes morning duty and night duty. not much happening in the morning duty. lets go straight to night duty then...

night duty is very easy just stand at the main entrance and dont let anymore customer come in after 9pm loh...

then there is this §§§§§§§ guy from Jakarta came to me...

hlt8888: "Sorry sir, we are closed."
Jakarta customer: "Please let me go in. I am from Jakarta. I tomorrow going back to Jakarta already."

So what if he is from Jakarta??? What we have in the store, might have in Jakarta's stores, why must he buy from us???

hlt8888: "Really very sorry sir, but its already 9:15pm now. We closed at 9pm."
Jakarta customer: "But I only wanna buy Pocoyo. Very fast. Please let me in."

WTF came all the way from Jakarta to Singapore just to buy Pocoyo?!?!?!

hlt8888: "No no no, we cannot let you in."

The Jakarta customer sigh in disappointment...

Jakarta customer: "You are so stingy."

And he left ... ...

Why am I "stingy"??? Just because i cant let him in??? I thought stingy means 吝啬??? Sorry if in am wrong, moi england ish bery boor.

不到最后一刻不消费？

今天书局里的人实在太多，真的是人潮汹涌，将整个书局挤得水泄不通啊！书局里那么多人，再加上那里的空调设备欠佳哦，让我倍感空气越来越稀薄，有点难呼吸。视线渐渐模糊，只看见一道白色光芒。。。我晕了。。。

哈哈，怎么可能晕嘛，我健康得很嘞。　其实没那么夸张啦，但就真的是比平时多人而已啦。相信很多购物商店都有比平时多人，　忙得不可开交，　这样子的情形吧。到底今天为什么会那么多人呢？让我来为诸位读者查个究竟。。。

书局里的男人1号： “你谁啊？关你屁事！让开！”

以上是我问了那么多人当中，频率比较高的回应。 根据统计数字显示哦，来到这里的人，有些是因为一些无关紧要的原因路经此地。有些只是抱着观望态度来到这里。也有一些是比较理智的，　因为需要所以消费。当然也少不了有一些完全将新加坡人的怕输心态发挥得淋漓尽致的消费者。

因为害怕 7月1号消费税挑高之后，物价上涨，所以赶紧在 7月1号之前消费。这样子是没什么错啦。可是为什么那么多人要在 6月30号，消费税挑高之前的最后一天呢？　不可以早一点点吗？

Aiyo... due to long working hours, come back home dont really have the time to type till that long mah. So my posts are all quite short loh. But it is absolutely not 敷衍 that kind of post.

Oh yah, lets come back to this picture. this picture was taken not too long ago in a restaurant in Singapore. Forgot the name and location of the restaurant liao, only remember I and a few of my airforce friends ate some pizza there.

That restaurant has 2 storeys and we requested to have a table at the 2nd floor. WoW! The 2nd floor is amazing... hahaha!!! nobody, only the 4 of us! Its as tough we booked the whole 2nd floor like that... lol! Guys who wants to act rich in-front of their girlfriend can try there... hahaha! sorry ah no address... lol! Oh ok, forget to mention the 3 airforce kia who were there... They are Yunting, Gouping and Shi Chang.

At 2nd floor its so empty that we feel so free there. Laugh loud loud also nobody care sia.. lol! This kuso picture was taken while waiting for the pizza to come... My friends and I went to the Burger King at Tiong Bahru Plaza for dinner after the movie "Ghost Rider" on 初三 which is the 20th Feb 2007, Tuesday.

BK girl: "Sir, what do u wanna order?"
Me: "erm... Mushroom Swiss Burger Meal...."
BK girl: "You want medium coke?"
Me: "Huh??? What medium cook??? Erm, make it fully cook please..."
Then the girl also got confused by me. She point to a cup of Coke, and ask again.
BK girl: "I mean you want this medium coke?"
Me: "Oh... ok ok medium Coke... medium Coke..."

The cyan colour text is added to make the incident more funny, real situation is only those green text.

wah wah wah wah wah!!! Today pass by canteen A in NTU, then saw many people crowding around a stage.... What is that??? Lets check it out!!!

oic!!! Its the NTU Cheerleading people performing... They call themselves "ACES". Dont know why... Anyway, managed to make my way to the very front to capture their performance video in my Samsung E770!!! But, before you play the video, you can choose to stop the current background music(so nice right?) if you think it is too noisy... hehehe... the control for the (very nice)background music is somewhere at the bottom right of the page...
